Belfast Cycle City, a campaign run by Friends of the Earth in cooperation with Sustrans, is hosting a free conference to discuss the future of cycling provision in Belfast.
Belfast Cycle City: Visions for the Future is being held in The Black Box on June 1st 2010. Doors open at 5:45pm and entrance is free. Pizza is also free.
The evening will feature exciting guest speakers discussing the future for cycling in Belfast with an opening address by a senior Department of Regional Development official.
The speakers will present the successes London and Dublin have had with cycling and discuss how these can apply to Belfast.
Following the talks there will be an open floor Q&A session with the
speakers and Department official.
I repeat, Pizza is also free.
This is a great opportunity to show support for cycling in and around Belfast, to see what lies in store and to ask questions of those who might be able to do something about it.
Full information can be found on the Belfast Cycle City: Visions for the Future site. There’s no need to register for the conference – just show up on the night – but there’s a Facebook Event if you want to record your attendance or pass it along to your friends. Spread the word!
