Some more information has surfaced regarding the Belfast Cyclethon 2009 that I posted about recently. Belfast City Council has replied to the email I sent to ask for further information.
The council say:
It seems that the event was to be organized by a third party but due to lack of funds it may not be going ahead. The organizing company was to have been the Road Safety Committee but I am afraid we have no further details than that at this stage.
So it’s news of no news, but they go on to promise that any further updates will appear on the cyclethon event page on the council website. The page is currently down so it doesn’t look good for the event going ahead.
