Craigavon Cycle Trail 2011 Update

by John Girvin | tagged: , , , , | permalink

A nice letter arrived from Marie Curie:

I am writing to thank you for your contribution to the Craigavon Cycle Trail in 2011, be it small or large. At the time of writing I can reveal that the event has raised over £16,800 which is the best yet. The undoubted star of the show was 75 year-old Robin Jelly from Belfast who not only cycled the 50k route but raised a massive £2662.00

Well Dones fly out to everyone who took part. It was a miserable day in the saddle, but as you can see worth it in the end.

Next year’s event is already set for 12th May and there are a number of changes being considered based on feedback from this year, including online registration, an earlier start time and improvements to staffing and signage. I’m looking forward to it!
