I have only just spotted this post, all very very true!

I am still gutted that I had to go on holiday in the last week, and in the end just scraped into the top 10.

I have some serious catching up to do in the July 150 as well...

A fellow rider who shall remain nameless did admit that once they knew I'd finished my month's riding on the 29th, they went out on the 30th to make sure I got beat. ;)

Having said that, I know for sure that I would have ridden less without the June100. 100 miles isn't that much for many people, but it was right for me and now the July150 will help too! That all the mileage is on show is a boon as once you get over the 150, it's all still there to work with anyway. :)

I know what you mean about the motivational effect of seeing other people's mileage, all gathered together in one place. More than once I caught myself planning rides based on the distance required to jump "just one more" place in the stats. Is it bad that I usually checked the June100 standings before firing up the mapping site?

July150 ... let's see :)

I set myself the task of cutting my usual 600 by 100 instead. I was well chuffed to make it.

For some people, it really wasn't much of a challenge, but for some of us the practise of logging in and seeing everyone else putting the miles in really helped.

I'd like to thank the 31 for helping motivate me to doing the 100, and achieving 22 in my own challenge! The July150 should help me, too :)

Same here really, I usually cycle 300ish a month so 100 was just a nice easy taper in preparation for Manchester-Blackpool on Sunday ;)

Several people got quite competitive with it really, so you're not the only one, but we achieved our aim and got Phill out more on his trusty steed.

All set for July150?
