Sponsor John 2011

Yes, I’m afraid it’s that time of year again, when I tug at your heartstrings in an attempt to distract you as I rifle your wallet. Sponsor John 2011 is here.

I’ve got a busy schedule planned for 2011, and the first event is only a couple of weeks away. Training has been proceeding at my usual hit-and-miss pace, and once again I’m resorting to crossing fingers that I’m ready for the challenges ahead.

Sure, it’ll be grand.

I’m using the event to raise sponsorship money for RNIB NI via my Sponsor John! website (all new for 2011 edition!), to support the important work they do to help people unfortunate enough to suffer serious sight loss adapt to their new circumstances. It’s a life changing blow to anyone, and a friendly, experienced, helping hand can make all the difference.

Now it’s your turn. Head on over to Sponsor John and GIVE US YER MONEY!

I’m kidding of course, and channelling Bob Geldof a bit, but any donation will be very much appreciated, both by me and eventually the RNIB.

GIVE US YER MONEY!

Sorry, that was Bob again.

Damn you John. I’m only sponsoring you because you didn’t actually f*cking swear like Uncle Bob did. I think Uncle Bob should sponsor you, he owns Ten Alps publishing now doesn’t he? Something lie that. Anyway, he’s rolling in it.

    Hi John
Just like to thank you for all your hard work, championing the role of RNIB’s Eye Care liaison Service. As an eye care liaison officer, I really appreciate your very generous donations and raising awareness of our service.
As I’m sure you’re aware, in the present financial climate, how difficult it is to get funding for this vital service. I am based in the Ophthalmology department at the Royal Group of Hospitals and this year to date I have delivered this service to approx 450 patients who all had serious sight loss.

Once again can I thank you on behalf of all the ECLO’s in Northern Ireland.

    Much Appreciated

    Susan Caskey
