		<description>Hi John. I just happened to find your site because I have Google collect and report on &quot;Girvin&quot; every week as it is a sufficiently unusual name to make keeping up with news on the Girvins worldwide feasible.

My branch of the Girvin family is part of the Irish diaspora, and John is a popular name so far back as I have been able to trace our family tree. My family has been in Texas for several generations, although my son married a Canadian and lives on Vancouver Island. I was an avid cyclist in my younger days, but my son is strictly surfing.
