Third World Cycle 2011

by John Girvin | tagged: , | permalink

This Sunday, 17th of April, the Third World Pedal Pushers are holding their annual charity cycle tour, with a choice of 10 or 60 mile routes.

This is a very popular tour which caters for families as well as the “serious” cyclist.

The family tour is approximately 10 miles from Downpatrick to Crossgar (where light refreshments are supplied), and back. Riders can ride safely on the footpath which is great for the kids!  Back at the Cricket Club, there will be more substantial refreshments to feed those aching legs!

The main tour is approximately 60 miles (100 kms) long, taking in some of County Down’s spectacular scenery. Refreshments will be provided for participants back at Downpatrick Cricket Club.

Please note that ALL proceeds of this vital tour go to projects in the Third World countries.

As in all previous years, expect a great day of cycling!

Entry costs £10 per cyclist or £12 for families, payable on registration from 9:15am at Downpatrick Cricket Club.
