Not Dead, Just Resting
Astute readers will have noticed a certain dearth of activity on here recently. Oh do stop rolling your eyes. This isn’t one of those pointless “I promise to blog moar!” posts, I promise. It’s not even another “I quit!”. I’ve just been stupidly busy with a new job, that’s all, and I kinda lost both my blogging and cycling mojo for a while there.

Bangor Coastal Challenge 2011
Today was the day for a ride around the Ards Peninsula, with 1,000 other similarly inclined cyclists (or not, as it turned out). Today was the day of the 2011 NDCC Bangor Coastal Challenge.

Sunday Craic with Big Wee Bro
And now, a Sunday Ride with a bit of a difference. The Bangor Coastal Challenge 2011 is only a week away and I didn’t want to do anything too strenuous, so when my 6’3″ 21st rugby playing “wee” brother mentioned he wanted to go for a 30 mile cycle today, I thought I’d tag along.

Belfast Cycle City Conference 2011
The Belfast Cycle City campaign are holding another conference this year, much like 2010′s very successful Visions for the Future event. Belfast Cycle City Conference: Creating a Cycling Culture takes place on 29th June at 5:45pm in the Empire Music Hall on Botanic Avenue, Belfast. Guest speakers from local government and Dublin will give talks about what Dublin is doing to create a cycling culture, and future plans for cycling in Belfast.

Craigavon Cycle Trail 2011
The 2011 Marie Curie Craigavon Cycle Trail, an organised organised 50Km or 80Km cycle around the Craigavon area in aid of the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity, took place on 21st May. Team Lard was represented once again.
